National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)

General Overview

Students will participate in an applied learning curriculum coverage all aspects of the construction of a residential home. The Construction Technology program adheres to a nationally certified curriculum (NCCER) which is endorsed by Associated Builders and Contractors of Maine (A.B.C.) and Associated Constructors of Maine (A.C.M.)

Residential Construction

Goal: To prepare students able to perform rough carpentry related skills and pass National Certification tests (Carpentry level one and Core Curriculums)

Finish Carpentry

Goal: To prepare students able to perform Finish carpentry related skills and pass National Certification tests (Carpentry level II and Cabinetmaking modules)

Certification Available

NCCER: Core Curriculum, Carpentry Level I, 10 hour OSHA -AM

Dual Enrollment Credit Available

Eastern Maine Community College:

BCT 151: Introduction to Building Construction, 7 credits

FWC 102: Basic Woodworking I, 3 credits
