School Profile

Mid-Maine Technical Center is a regional career and technical center that is located on the campus of Waterville High School. Mid-Maine Technical Center offers the area’s high school students twenty-five career and technical courses, which have been approved for high school graduation credit. Each technical program at Mid-Maine Technical Center has achieved National Program Certification or is using State Licensing Standards, which provides our students the opportunity to earn forty-two Industry Recognized Certifications.

Participating high schools include: Lawrence, Messalonskee, Waterville, and Winslow High Schools. Students from area private schools and home-schooled students who live in a sending school district may also enroll at the Technical Center on a space available basis.

Students attend Mid-Maine Technical Center as part of their school day, while taking academic courses at their high school. Bus transportation to and from Mid-Maine Technical Center is provided by each school district. Enrollment at Mid-Maine Technical Center is arranged through the high school guidance department at no cost to the student.

Mid-Maine Technical Center has fourteen lab areas totaling 51,000 square feet of instructional space, which is fully equipped with over one million dollars of high tech equipment that meets industry standards.
